Provide student transportation between Lambton, Lingwick, Bury, and Pope Memorial Elementary School on scheduled split shifts.
The Bus Driver works in Transportation and reports to the Assistant Director. The schedule includes approximately 5.5 hours daily and 27.5 hours weekly. Morning service runs toward Pope Memorial Elementary School, while afternoon service continues toward Bishopton, Dudswell, and Weedon.
Key Responsibilities: Drive students on assigned school transportation routes
Complete morning and afternoon route services
Transport people and materials while following safety standards
Load and unload goods when required
Drive a lighter vehicle when required
Requirements: Hold a Class 1 or Class 2 driver’s licence
Operate the vehicles associated with the position
Apply basic heavy vehicle mechanics skills
Use required preventive maintenance methods
Perform related duties when needed
Bring licensed school-bus driving, route service, and safety-focused vehicle operation to regular student transportation duties.
