GreenFirst Forest Products is seeking a Log Crane Operator for work in Hearst, Ontario. This position manages log movement from incoming trucks to the slasher and storage areas. It combines heavy-equipment operation with inventory organization, radio communication, and environmental safety compliance.
Key Responsibilities: Unload log trucks and relocate wood across storage areas
Sort inventory by species, size, and length
Fill or empty mill storage areas as required
Monitor wind speeds and park equipment safely
Complete housekeeping and monthly extinguisher checks
Requirements: Heavy equipment, crane, log loader, or machinery experience
Forestry or sawmill background preferred
Commitment to health, safety, and environmental standards
Clear verbal communication through two-way radio
Independent work ability with smooth crew coordination
