The Manual Machinist performs machining, inspection, refurbishment, and assembly for compressors, engines, turbines, and auxiliary systems. You will diagnose component wear, interpret OEM manuals and engineering specifications, and recommend repair solutions. The position also supports fixture fabrication, root cause investigations, continuous improvement, and apprentice mentoring.
Key Responsibilities: Machine compressor casings, shafts, bearings, and couplings
Interpret drawings, dimensional reports, and repair procedures
Diagnose wear, damage mechanisms,



and failure modes
Assist disassembly, inspection, repair, and assembly
Participate in fixture fabrication and root cause investigations
Requirements: Red Seal Journeyperson Machinist Certification
Five years performing manual machining operations
Strong knowledge of fit, tolerancing, and material properties
Understanding of industrial rotating equipment and repair machining
Commitment to safety, quality, and hazard assessments
Use manual machining, component diagnosis, and measurement skills to restore critical rotating equipment at TC Energy.
