The temporary full-time LBS/PLAR Instructor supports adult learners through education, employment, and independence goals. You will create curriculum, deliver group and individualized instruction, and apply the Ontario Adult Literacy Curriculum Framework. The work includes learner assessments, PLAR preparation, differentiated instruction, and community referrals.
Key Responsibilities: Develop Learner Plans with learners and track progress
Deliver contextualized literacy and PLAR instruction
Adapt resources for individual and small-group needs
Maintain accurate attendance and learner documentation
Connect learners with community agencies and supports
Requirements: High school diploma and adult education certificate
One to three years teaching adult learners
Knowledge of Ontario literacy and PLAR processes
Advanced computer and virtual learning tool skills
Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle access
Apply solid pedagogy, assessment, technology, and learner-centred service as an LBS/PLAR Instructor with KPR.
