Build and sustain volunteer programs for Margaret Bahen Hospice and Doane House Hospice from the Newmarket location, using strong communication and organization.
As Coordinator, Volunteer Services, you will implement the volunteer engagement cycle across both organizations. The work includes recruitment plans, screening, placement, onboarding, training, retention, and recognition. You will also evaluate volunteer needs and collaborate with staff supporting volunteers.
Key Responsibilities: Evaluate organizational volunteer needs and implement recruitment plans
Conduct screening, training, and placement risk management activities
Supervise placement students and summer students
Communicate regularly with volunteers and supporting staff




Represent organizations at community networking meetings
Requirements: Knowledge of the volunteer engagement cycle
Ability to develop and lead adult education training
Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
Robust organizational, prioritization, and time management skills
Healthcare volunteer experience; palliative or hospice experience preferred
Use volunteer recruitment, adult education, and relationship-building skills to strengthen hospice volunteer engagement and support.
