Support safe building-material deliveries as a customer-focused Delivery Helper in Langford, BC, working Monday through Friday from 6:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.
At GMS Family of Locations, the Delivery Helper transports materials and places them on customer job sites. You will communicate with customers, coworkers, dispatch, and other trades while emphasizing safety, service, and efficiency. The position also supports truck reloading and warehouse tasks.
Key Responsibilities: Deliver materials to customer-directed areas safely
Verify load accuracy and security before delivery
Communicate professionally across job sites
Maintain dispatch contact and resolve arising issues
Prepare trucks for reloading and assist warehouse staff
Requirements: Valid driver’s license and clean abstract preferred
Effective written and oral communication skills
Basic mathematics knowledge
Basic hand tool skills
Ability to lift and carry up to 100 pounds
