Support emergency patient care in Owen Sound as a Personal Care Assistant, using patient assessment and infection control knowledge. This is full time temporary employment.
Working under RN and RPN guidance, the Personal Care Assistant supports routine activities within agreed care plans. The role promotes patients’ physical, social, and emotional well-being while completing duties consistent with the classification or clinical specialty. Brightshores requires collaboration across patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
Key Responsibilities: Assist with routine activities within agreed patient care plans
Promote physical, social, and emotional patient well-being
Perform cross-functional duties required by clinical specialty
Collaborate with patients,



families, and healthcare professionals
Support patient safety within the emergency department
Requirements: Recognized Personal Support Worker Program completion certificate
Two years’ recent PSW experience in acute care
Current First Aid Certification
Working knowledge of Infection Control Practices
Ability to work all shifts and rural coverage
Bring acute care experience, patient assessment, and collaborative communication to emergency patient support at Brightshores in Owen Sound.
