Start students' days safely as a part time School Bus Driver with First Student, driving scheduled morning and afternoon routes in Halifax.
This position offers Monday-to-Friday transportation work without nights, weekends, holidays, or summers. You will safely transport students, support boarding, maintain order, inspect the vehicle, and communicate about behavior or delays. First Student provides expert training and guidance, so no experience is necessary.
Key Responsibilities: Drive morning pickup and afternoon return routes
Assist students with seatbelts and mobility aids
Obey traffic laws and safety standards
Inspect brakes, lights, tires, and emergency exits
Communicate with parents, schools, and dispatch
Requirements: Be at least 21 years old
Have a full Class 5 license for one year
Want part time daytime work and summers off
Enjoy working with students
Commercial driving or customer service experience is desired
