The Recreation Worker supports resident wellbeing, creativity, purpose, community, lifelong learning, and fun. You will plan activities, facilitate opportunities, and maintain connections. The position serves residents with varying abilities in a long-term care setting.
Key Responsibilities: Plan and implement daily recreation and leisure activities
Facilitate planned and spontaneous resident opportunities
Create engaging spaces supporting resident participation
Communicate with residents, families, volunteers, and community groups

Requirements: Prior experience working with seniors preferred
Post-secondary recreation, leisure, or therapeutic recreation education
Related health care education with recreation services experience
Knowledge of assessment, care planning, and documentation
Experience with therapeutic programming techniques and approaches
