Design electrical and controls systems for power generation projects with WSP, using advanced AutoCAD across Canadian offices in selected provinces.
As an Electrical and Controls Designer, you will support WSP’s Process & Energy Electrical Group. You will transform P&IDs; into drawings, prepare specifications, and contribute to energy projects across Canada. The work spans facility design, low-carbon initiatives, and evolving energy markets, with collaboration across disciplines.
Key Responsibilities: Review P&IDs; and develop accurate electrical drawings
Generate drawings for approval, bid, and construction
Design schematics, lighting, controls, and heat tracing
Mark up vendor and skid drawings
Provide wiring details and field technical support
Requirements: Technical diploma in electrical engineering technology or related discipline
Five or more years of electrical design experience preferred
Power Generation Project experience required
Advanced AutoCAD proficiency
Team-oriented, detail-oriented, solutions-focused approach
Apply electrical design, AutoCAD, and power generation experience to support WSP’s integrated Canadian energy projects.
