Beccarian Correctional Care seeks a Recovery Coach for Therapeutic Living Units within correctional environments. You will support evidence-based substance use disorder care through group sessions, recreation, community responsibilities, and positive recovery modeling. The work supports the community as method model.
Key Responsibilities: Encourage and care for members during evening hours
Participate in therapy, meetings, work-as-therapy, and recreation
Lead or co-lead AA, NA, and SMART Recovery meetings
Report member progress and concerns to the TLU Lead
Support clinical staff during crisis situations
Requirements: Previous caregiving or support experience
Robust communication and rapport-building skills
Understanding of substance use disorders and mental health challenges
Empathy and discretion in sensitive situations
Vulnerable Persons Criminal Record Check and facility clearance
Bring compassionate communication, recovery knowledge, and peer-based support to Therapeutic Living Units in Lethbridge.
