Operate Marmot Basin’s aerial and surface lifts while delivering secure, friendly service outdoors through varying winter weather conditions.
As a Lift Operator, you will load and unload passengers, greet patrons, provide assistance, and perform Ticket Control duties. This full-time seasonal position runs five days out of seven each week from October through May, with potentially reduced hours during slower periods and season transitions. You will complete daily lift checks, maintain lift areas, and follow the Lift Operations Training Manual.
Key Responsibilities: Operate aerial and surface lifts safely
Load and unload passengers carefully
Greet patrons and identify individual needs
Complete and record daily lift checks
Maintain mazes, ramps, and head traps
Requirements: Be at least 18 years old
Provide personal ski or snowboard equipment
Possess intermediate skiing or snowboarding ability
Pass the Lift Operators Exam with 80% or higher
Enjoy working outdoors during winter
Bring safe lift operation, customer service, and intermediate riding skills to Marmot Basin’s mountain operations team.
