Support accounting operations at Fort Garry Industries by supervising staff, strengthening controls, and managing daily financial activities at corporate head office.
The Accounting Supervisor works with Senior Accounting Managers while handling general ledger transactions, payables, receivables, reconciliations, and reporting. This position also supports staffing, coaching, training, accounting systems, policies, and procedures. Process improvement and cross-functional collaboration remain central to the department’s work.
Key Responsibilities: Monitor daily accounting activities and department staffing levels
Recruit, orient, train, coach, and evaluate accounting employees
Review financial controls, reconciliations, accruals, and journal entries
Monitor cash requirements, forecasts, foreign exchange,



and bad debt risks
Support inventory costing, counts, reconciliations, and audit preparation
Requirements: Minimum three years’ accounting experience and one supervisory year
University Accounting degree or equivalent preferred
CPA or other business accreditation preferred
Ability to interpret and implement company policies and procedures
Ability to work independently, collaboratively, under pressure, and meet deadlines
