This Human Services Counselor works in Child and Adolescent Services within Saint John Community Mental Health Services. The position assesses, supports, and assists clients in community or hospital-based settings. Key work includes service planning, crisis intervention, therapeutic programming, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
Key Responsibilities: Participate in client support service plan development
Document and report physical, behavioral, and psychological changes
Intervene during crises and provide emotional support
Organize individual and group therapeutic programs
Help clients access government and community services
Requirements: High school graduation with additional human services education
One year of related experience for community mental health positions
Valid license required
Ability to attend work regularly
Ability to perform position duties
