As a Mechanical Design Engineer on the Research and Development team, you will develop devices for broadcast and film production facilities. You will carry designs through production while working across fresh projects involving product definition, packaging technologies, and manufacturing support. The position requires collaboration with engineers and suppliers throughout development.
Key Responsibilities: Design electro-mechanical enclosures using three-dimensional parametric CAD packages
Gather design information by communicating with engineering colleagues
Discuss project requirements with suppliers and qualify parts
Design fixtures, test jigs, tools,



and gauges as required
Coordinate prototype and production sample builds
Requirements: College or university degree in Mechanical Engineering
Comprehensive knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing techniques
Solid Edge and AutoCAD three-dimensional software skills
Familiarity with sheet metal, machined parts, extrusions, welding, and wiring
Experience with electro-mechanical packaging techniques is an asset
Apply mechanical design, GD&T;, and Solid Edge expertise to broadcast hardware developed by Evertz Microsystems in Burlington.
