As a First Piece Inspector, you will inspect and approve initial parts produced by operators and machinists. The full time position supports Pursuit Aerospace’s precision-machined and fabricated aerospace manufacturing operations. Your work includes dimensional verification, CMM programming, blueprint interpretation, and quality documentation.
Key Responsibilities: Visually inspect and approve first machined parts
Perform final inspections of complex parts
Measure dimensions using Vernier and micrometers
Operate, edit, and run CMM programs
Complete quality registers and non-conformance reports
Requirements: College degree in mechanical engineering
Ability to understand and follow English instructions
Ability to interpret blueprints and sketches
Authorization to work full-time in Canada without sponsorship
Ability to wear required personal protective equipment
Support aerospace quality at Pursuit Aerospace through first-piece approval, dimensional inspection, CMM operation, and accurate documentation.
