Resident care at AgeCare Mount Royal needs Health Care Aides skilled in bathing, transfers, feeding, and protected daily support. This temporary position is 0.67 FTE.
As a Health Care Aide, you will collaborate with the care team under Staff Nurse supervision. You will provide basic care and services while meeting individual resident needs. The work includes routine treatments, mobility assistance, and support during meals and activities.
Key Responsibilities: Bath, shower, and wash residents using water temperature procedures
Assist transfers using ceiling lifts, mechanical lifts, and transfer belts
Feed residents according to care plans during meals
Provide routine treatments under Staff Nurse direction
Accompany residents to dining, therapy, and recreation activities
Requirements: Recognized PCA or HCA 2002 certificate or equivalent education
Active CLHA registration
Fluent English communication orally and in writing
One year continuing care experience preferred
Post-secondary education considered an asset
Support resident comfort, mobility, nourishment, and dignity as a Health Care Aide at AgeCare Mount Royal.
