About the Role
The Company is seeking an Executive Director, Marketing & Brand to lead its brand strategy, integrated campaigns, and marketing planning across the organization. The role is responsible for strengthening brand health and audience engagement, setting creative direction, and aligning marketing priorities with fundraising and mission goals. The Executive Director will oversee advertising and paid media strategy, campaign performance, annual planning, budgets, and vendor relationships, while also leading the strategy and operations of a historic site. The position includes managing and developing a multidisciplinary team, advising senior leaders,
and embedding inclusion, diversity, equity, and accessibility into marketing and audience engagement.
Candidates should have at least 10 years of progressive senior marketing leadership experience and post-secondary education in marketing, communications, business, or a related field, or equivalent experience. They should bring a record of strengthening brands, leading complex campaigns, and improving marketing effectiveness in a high-volume, mission-driven organization. Experience in nonprofit, fundraising, or national-scale work, along with people leadership and cross-functional collaboration, is key. Strong strategic, analytical, communication, project management, and Agile-informed delivery skills are required, as is the ability to use research and performance data to guide decisions.
