This temporary part time Personal Care Attendant position serves Central Zone long-term care residents. Provide daily living support to patients and residents with physical or cognitive impairments, including challenging behaviors. The work includes companionship, appointments, safety practices, and interdisciplinary input.
Key Responsibilities: Provide care and support for daily living needs
Offer companionship to patients and residents
Escort residents to outside appointments
Provide input to the interdisciplinary team
Promote person-and family-centered care and safety
Requirements: NLHS-approved personal care attendant program graduation
Current BLS certification
Effective interpersonal and communication skills
Commitment to NLHS ICARE corporate values
Satisfactory conduct, performance, and attendance records
Bring personal care training, communication skills, and safety awareness to residents receiving care at Carmelite House.
