This General Helper assignment belongs to Student Housing & Hospitality Services and reports to a Dining Hall Supervisor and/or Chef. The schedule may reach 38.75 hours weekly, with day, evening, and night work. Weekend availability is required from Sunday through Saturday, according to needs, and locations vary among Bishop Mountain Hall, Royal Victoria College, and Douglas Hall.
Key Responsibilities: Perform kitchen cleanliness tasks under supervisory direction
Clean cooking utensils and related equipment
Maintain cleanliness throughout the kitchen area
Work variable schedules according to dining service needs
Support assigned operations at McGill residence dining halls
Requirements: High School Leaving Diploma
Three months of related experience
Positive communication skills
Knowledge of English and French
Authorization to work in Canada and Quebec work willingness
Contribute dependable kitchen support, cleanliness, and English-French communication across McGill University’s residence dining operations.
