Support student behaviour and social-emotional learning as a Youth Development Coach with Foothills School Division, following the school calendar.
This school-based Youth Development Coach supports Cameron Crossing School and Foothills Outreach Centre. The role primarily serves Junior High students, with some High School overlap. You will assist staff and students through coordinated behaviour management programs, while helping develop self-concept and social skills.
Key Responsibilities: Support positive development of student behaviour
Assist social-emotional learning across school settings
Help design coordinated behaviour management programs
Supply leadership and assistance to staff and students
Foster working relationships with parents and community
Requirements: Diploma in Child & Youth Care
Related post-secondary training and relevant experience
Experience with children and youth facing complex needs
Trauma-informed practice training considered an asset
Nonviolent crisis intervention or SIVA training considered an asset
Bring behaviour support, social-emotional learning, and relationship-building skills to students at Cameron Crossing School and Foothills Outreach Centre.
