This Fire Prevention Officer role combines regulatory knowledge with practical fire protection experience. Responsibilities include applying the Ontario Fire Code, Ontario Building Code, municipal by-laws, and related legislation. The successful candidate also supports investigations, interprets plans and technical documents, and communicates findings through reports, public speaking, and court testimony.
Key Responsibilities: Administer fire prevention and public safety education services
