This mechanic maintains Company owned or leased heavy duty trucks, equipment, and rolling stock. Duties include repairing diesel, CNG, gas, and electrically operated vehicles. The work also involves scheduling repairs, procuring parts, completing reports, and maintaining accurate records. GFL requires safe work practices and compliance with applicable regulations.
Key Responsibilities: Diagnose and repair heavy duty diesel equipment difficulties
Maintain diesel, CNG, gas, and electric vehicles
Plan repairs in M5 planner and procure parts
Complete reports, work orders, and administrative duties
Maintain clean, safe working conditions and equipment
Requirements: High school diploma or GED; technical diploma desired
Minimum one year of diesel mechanic experience
Diagnostic software experience is an asset
Computer literacy and willingness to learn software systems
Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 100 pounds
