Work underground in Timmins, Ontario, at Lake Shore Gold’s established gold operations, completing development cycles with jumbo and scoop equipment. The position is full time with rotating shifts.
Development Miners support work at Timmins West Mine and Bell Creek Mine in three-person crews. Responsibilities span print interpretation, washing, mucking, bolting, loading, drilling, blasting, and truck loading. Jumbo Operators control manual jumbo levers and direct crews, while Bolters install ground support and support safe development.
Key Responsibilities: Interpret prints to guide underground development activities
Wash, muck, bolt, load, drill, and blast rounds
Control manual jumbo direction during drilling
Direct crews through each development stage




Operate six to ten yard scoops underground
Requirements: At least five years underground development mining experience
Experience operating scoops and completing development work
Proficiency with jacklegs and stopers
Required development tickets or willingness to obtain modules
Reliable leadership, communication skills, and strong work ethic
Build on proven underground mining experience while supporting safe, complete development work across Lake Shore Gold’s Timmins-area mines.
