The Alzheimer Society of Nova Scotia seeks a Counselling Therapist for its Programs & Services team. Reporting to the Director, you will support emotional well-being, coping strategies, and relational dynamics. Your work will contribute to programs serving persons living with dementia, care partners, and health care professionals.
Key Responsibilities: Provide person-centred counselling to early-stage dementia clients
Support care partners through compassionate therapeutic counselling
Address emotional well-being and coping strategies
Support relational dynamics through evidence-informed approaches
Implement programs and services across Nova Scotia
Requirements: Counselling Therapist experience and knowledge
Understanding of early-stage dementia and care partners
Knowledge of evidence-informed therapeutic approaches
Ability to work in person and virtually
Ability to support clients across Nova Scotia
