Support transmission and distribution reliability as a Leading Electrician with NS Power’s Energy Delivery Underground team in Sackville.
This regular full time position reports to the Underground Supervisor and combines hands-on electrical work with team direction. You will oversee and perform underground plant installation, commissioning, maintenance, and repair while supporting documentation and regulatory training. The assignment includes safety accountability, environmental processes, standby duty, and possible travel throughout Nova Scotia.
Key Responsibilities: Perform electrical underground plant maintenance and repair
Direct regional operations work and assigned crews
Complete documentation for electricians and Powerline Technicians
Observe environmental management system processes




Provide after-hours emergency service restoration
Requirements: Industrial Electrician certification with five years’ troubleshooting experience
Underground transmission or distribution experience is an asset
Class 3 licence with trailer endorsement is an asset
Excellent interpersonal, written, oral, and computer communication skills
Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks
Combine technical electrical capability, crew leadership, and safety commitment to maintain underground infrastructure for NS Power customers.
