YMCA BC seeks an Activity Leader for its before and after school program at YMCA Park House Care and Learning Centre. The permanent part-time position involves 20 hours weekly, Monday to Friday, from 2:00pm to 6:00pm. You will design age-appropriate indoor and outdoor activities, provide individualized support, and help children navigate conflicts. The position supports inclusive programming aligned with YMCA standards, A Place to Connect curriculum, and legislative requirements.
Key Responsibilities: Design and lead engaging indoor and outdoor activities
Provide supervision, guidance, and mentorship to staff and volunteers
Support positive behaviour and guide conflict resolution




Contribute to care plans and maintain enhanced ratios
Prepare nutritious snacks and maintain clean program spaces
Requirements: At least 19 years of age
Experience working with children ages 5–12
Emergency First Aid and CPR certification or willingness to obtain
Twenty hours of child development, guidance, or nutrition training
Current satisfactory Vulnerable Sector Criminal Record Check
Support children’s belonging, confidence, and participation through inclusive programming, individualized care, and active supervision at YMCA BC.
