Provide advanced emergency care from the Harbour Breton Ambulance Base in Newfoundland and Labrador’s Central Zone. Respond to emergency and routine calls.
This temporary full time Advanced Care Paramedic assignment runs until 14 November 2027, with possible extension. You will work within your scope, conduct assessments, interpret tests, and initiate advanced interventions. The role supports person-and family-centered care, safety, and paramedicine standards.
Key Responsibilities: Respond to emergency and routine ambulance calls
Perform examinations, comprehensive assessments, and diagnostic tests
Provide independent advanced pre-hospital medical care
Operate ambulances during emergency and routine responses




Mentor students and new employees when required
Requirements: Graduate from an approved Advanced Care Paramedic program
Current registration with NL Paramedicine Regulation
Valid Newfoundland and Labrador Class 4 Driver’s License
Current Basic Life Support and ACLS certifications
Physical capability testing certificate completed within three months
Bring advanced assessments, emergency interventions, decision-making, and patient safety commitment to paramedicine services in Harbour Breton.
