Operate tractor-trailer combinations and qualified heavy equipment for CN in Edmonton, supporting engineering materials transport and track maintenance.
This Operations position serves CN’s Engineering division and requires safe equipment operation, inspection, servicing, and material handling. You will transport equipment across the assigned territory, support track activities, and complete formal and on-the-job training. The position includes shift work, travel, and occasional overtime.
Key Responsibilities: Operate tractor-trailer combinations and qualified heavy equipment
Secure, load, handle, and unload engineering materials
Inspect equipment, maintain it, and report defects
Distribute track material during repair activities




Follow highway, railway, and track safety requirements
Requirements: Previous tractor-trailer operating experience
Valid commercial driver’s licence with air brake endorsement
Valid medical card and high school diploma
Ability to work outdoors, travel, and lift required weights
Prepared to qualify in railway rules and crane operation
Bring tractor-trailer operation, equipment maintenance, and protected material transport skills to CN’s Edmonton engineering operations.
