Serve St. Thomas communities with Canada Post as an on-call Rural and Suburban Mail Carrier requiring safe driving and local route knowledge.
As a temporary relief employee, you will deliver and collect mail while working independently across assigned communities. The position includes securing mail, processing CPC services, maintaining visible identification, and carrying items up to 50 pounds. Delivery work takes place in all kinds of weather and traffic conditions.
Key Responsibilities: Safely secure mail items throughout delivery duties
Sort, collect, and deliver mail within assigned communities
Acquire local knowledge of roads and customers
Process Change of Address Notification and other services
Carry items weighing up to 50 pounds
Requirements: Valid permanent provincial Class 5 or G license
Satisfactory safe driving record and driver’s abstract
Previous experience making deliveries
Ability to operate a vehicle in diverse conditions
Dependable, organized approach to independent delivery work
Support Canada Post delivery operations in St. Thomas through organized routing, safe vehicle operation, and secure mail handling.
