The role contributes to holistic care and experience, while demonstrating play’s importance to the multidisciplinary team. You will work across children’s inpatient and outpatient services.
Key Responsibilities: Provide child-focused play for hospitalised children
Deliver play, distraction, and preparation activities
Cover Amazon Ward and outpatient services
Maintain developmental, age-appropriate play areas
Provide suitable activities and resources seven days weekly
Requirements: Hold a Level 3 childcare qualification
Show awareness of child development
Understand children’s emotional needs in hospital
Demonstrate motivation and enthusiasm for child-focused play
Work across Peterborough or Hinchingbrooke sites
Bring child development awareness and enthusiastic play support to children receiving care across North West Anglia NHS Foundation Trust.
