As a Sample Preparation Technician in ALS’s Sample Preparation Department, you will prepare samples for laboratory analysis under direct supervision. The work includes sieving, crushing, splitting, drying oven duties, cleaning, and occasional layout tasks. You will follow established methods, schedules, quality practices, and safety procedures while maintaining production logs.
Key Responsibilities: Ring, sieve, crush, and split client samples
Load and unload drying ovens under supervision
Maintain personal production logs accurately




Complete general cleaning for basic laboratory cleanliness
Follow established procedures, schedules, and safety policies
Requirements: Good hand-eye coordination and organizational skills
Ability to work independently or within a team
Basic alphanumeric comprehension and English communication
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
Availability for rotating shifts and weekends
Support ALS laboratory analysis through accurate sample preparation, protected methods, production records, and dependable physical work in Whitehorse.
