We are seeking passionate and dedicated Youth Engagement Workers (SC4) to join our Social Care team in a non-qualified capacity. This role is ideal for individuals who are committed to making a positive impact on the lives of young people by providing support, guidance, and engagement in various community and social care settings. As a Youth Engagement Worker, you will work closely with young people to build trusting relationships, promote their wellbeing, and facilitate their involvement in meaningful activities and programs. You will be part of a multidisciplinary team, collaborating with other professionals to deliver tailored support and ensure the safety and development of young people in line with organizational policies and safeguarding standards. Engage with young people through one-on-one and group activities to promote positive development and wellbeing.





Build trusting relationships with young people to provide emotional support and guidance.

Assist in the delivery of social care programs and activities designed to meet the needs of the youth.

Monitor and report any safeguarding concerns in accordance with organizational policies and procedures.

Work collaboratively with social care professionals, families, and external agencies to coordinate support services.

Maintain accurate records of interactions, progress, and incidents relating to young people you work with.

Support young people in developing social skills, independence, and positive life choices.

RequirementsExcellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with young people.A compassionate and empathetic approach with a robust commitment to social care values.Ability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.Good organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain detailed records.Awareness of safeguarding practices and the importance of confidentiality in social care settings.Basic understanding of the challenges faced by vulnerable young people and a willingness to learn.Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and occasionally during school holidays as required.
