Apply technical analysis and ridership forecasting with Metrolinx’s Rapid Transit Insights team in a full-time, 18-month contract assignment.
The Advisor conducts analysis and supports business case evaluation for transit infrastructure and service. The work examines transportation, land use, population, and employment growth. You will also improve analytical tools and communicate findings to stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities: Manage technical analysis and ridership forecasting activities
Assess business cases for transit infrastructure and service
Prepare maps, charts, infographics, and visual materials
Review transportation studies and land use reports
Gather data, identify implications, and make recommendations
Requirements: University degree in Engineering, Planning, or related field
Demonstrated relevant experience in technical analysis
Experience with transportation demand modelling software is an asset
Strong analytical, research, and communication skills
Ability to explain technical issues to non-technical audiences
Support Metrolinx transit planning through forecasting, evidence-based analysis, business cases, and transparent data visualization.
