Provide compassionate resident care as a Personal Support Worker at Orchard Terrace Care Centre in Stoney Creek, Ontario. Work on-site with care plans and electronic records.
Reporting to the Director of Care, this part-time PSW supports residents’ physical and personal care needs. Responsibilities include activities of daily living, resident safety, monitoring well-being, documentation, and meal assistance. Use Gentle Persuasive Approach practices when managing expressive behaviours.
Key Responsibilities: Assist residents with activities of daily living according to care plans
Monitor well-being and report changes to RPNs
Document care and daily activities in electronic health records
Follow secure transfer and mechanical lift procedures
Provide feeding assistance and meal service support
Requirements: PSW certification from a minimum 600-hour program
HSCPOA registration preferred
Retirement or long-term care experience preferred
Current CPR and First Aid certifications preferred
Ability to lift up to 20 pounds
Bring compassionate personal care, safety awareness, documentation, and communication skills to residents at Orchard Terrace Care Centre.
