Bhasin Building Maintenance Ltd. is currently hiring one reliable, hardworking, and detail-oriented Light Duty Cleaner / Night Cleaner to join our team in Nelson, BC.

This is a full-time, permanent position for cleaning commercial and residential client sites, including offices, common areas, washrooms, grocery/retail areas, shopping/retail locations, and residential buildings. The position requires evening, night, and early morning availability. We are looking for someone who is reliable, able to work independently, and comfortable following cleaning checklists and safety procedures.

Wage: $22.00–$25.00 per hour, to be negotiated based on experience, reliability, and availability

Hours: 35–40 hours per week

Schedule: Early morning, evening, night, and weekend shifts may be required

Start date: As soon as possible

Key Responsibilities:

Sweep, mop, wash, and polish floors

Dust furniture and wipe surfaces

Vacuum carpets, rugs, and entrance areas

Clean and disinfect washrooms, sinks, fixtures, mirrors, and other surfaces

Clean offices, corridors, staff rooms, public areas,



retail/grocery areas, and common areas

Pick up debris and empty garbage/recycling containers

Refill cleaning and washroom supplies as required

Wash windows, glass surfaces, walls, and ceilings when required

Use basic cleaning equipment safely

Follow site cleaning checklists and company procedures

Report maintenance, safety, or supply issues to the supervisor

Work independently during evening, night, and early morning shifts

May assist with carpet cleaning and basic floor care when required

Perform other related cleaning duties as required

Requirements:

No degree, certificate, or diploma required

Will train

Previous cleaning experience is an asset

Must be reliable and able to work independently

Strong attention to detail

Ability to follow instructions and safety proceduresGood physical stamina and ability to stand, bend, lift, and perform cleaning duties

Ability to lift up to 25 pounds

Basic English required for workplace safety and reporting

Driver’s licence is an asset because work may be at different client sites
