Use mechanical aptitude and fabrication tools as a full-time Rigger Technician at Hercules' Continental Chain & Rigging branch.
Based in Red Deer, Alberta, this position supports lifting and rigging work within the Canadian-owned Hercules Group of Companies. The successful candidate will interpret drawings, complete hands-on fabrication, document material usage, and support other shop areas. Previous rigging experience is not required.
Key Responsibilities: Interpret drawings, measurements, and fabrication instructions
Fabricate slings according to exact customer specifications
Operate grinders, cut-off saws, torches, and spoolers
Receive supplies and document material usage
Support other shop areas when needed
Requirements: Comfort working with tools and equipment
Robust attention to detail and safety-first mindset
Good communication in a busy shop environment
Organizational skills and advanced time management
Legal entitlement to work in Canada
Develop technical rigging skills through training while applying mechanical aptitude, fabrication ability, and detail-oriented work habits daily.
