The LPN recognizes that each client has unique values and personal history and that each person has an equal right to dignity, respect, and to participate fully in their environment. The LPN is responsible for creating partnerships and relationships with clients, families and coworkers that will lead to the best outcomes and enhance quality of life. The LPN accepts responsibility for continuing competency through ongoing professional development including participation in education programs, research and continuous quality improvement activities. The LPN provides restricted activities and care within the full scope of practice as defined by the College of LPN's and HCA's of Alberta (CLHA). The LPN adheres to CLHA professional practice standards and Code of Ethics and Assisted Living Alberta (ALA) policies, procedures and guidelines.
