William Osler Health System seeks a Medical Laboratory Assistant for permanent specimen procurement work. You will receive, trace, assess, store, and prepare specimens while supporting laboratory quality and service. Hospital laboratory receiving experience, organization, and communication skills are required.
Key Responsibilities: Receive and unpack specimens from multiple delivery sources
Apply specimen acceptance and rejection criteria
Enter add-on requests and retrieve specimens




Prepare referral laboratory shipments with documentation and packaging
Maintain specimen storage, disposal, and traceability
Requirements: Ontario secondary school diploma
Accredited medical laboratory assistant or technician program
Current OSMT, CSMLS, or CMLTO voluntary roster registration
Recent hospital laboratory receiving experience or clinical placement
Transport of Dangerous Goods knowledge and training
