This Health Care Aide works with the care team to meet individual resident needs within established competencies. Under Staff Nurse direction, the position provides thorough basic care, supports transfers, and assists residents with meals, personal comfort, mobility, and activities.
Key Responsibilities: Perform bathing and washing following resident care procedures
Use appropriate controls and equipment during transfers
Assist residents with meals and nourishment times
Help residents travel throughout the facility safely
Escort residents to beauty, physiotherapy, and recreation
Requirements: Personal Care Aide or Health Care Aide certificate required
Active Alberta licensed practical nurse and aide registration
Fluent English skills in speaking and writing
One year related care experience preferred
Post-secondary education would be an asset
