The Township of Esquimalt Recreation Department seeks up to two auxiliary Skate Shop Attendant/Ice Patrol employees. Reporting to the Ice Programs Supervisor, scheduled hours vary, typically on weekday afternoons. Customer service, facility safety, incident documentation, and skating schedule communication are central to the work.
Key Responsibilities: Distribute rental skates to skating patrons
Process admission and rental payments
Explain skating schedules, policies, and regulations
Implement procedures supporting a secure ice complex
Complete documentation for accidents and incidents
Requirements: Experience working with the public
Current First Aid and CPR-C Certification
Clear Criminal Record Check with vulnerable sector check
Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
Excellent communication skills
Bring public-facing service, safety awareness, and accurate payment and incident documentation to skating operations in Esquimalt.
