Inspect tunneling and shaft excavation for Parsons on the West Vaughan Tunnel project in Vaughan, working on-site 100% of the time.
As a Tunnel Inspector, you will oversee heavy civil construction activities against specifications, drawings, safety standards, and engineering plans. Your work covers large shafts, tunnel excavation, material quality, contractor coordination, and detailed reporting. This position belongs to Parsons’ Critical Infrastructure team and requires continuous field oversight throughout the project.
Key Responsibilities: Inspect daily excavation and shaft activities against project requirements
Verify tunneling practices align with designs, specifications, and drawings
Coordinate independent testing and field operations




Enforce OSHA and site-specific safety plans
Document deficiencies, conditions, progress, and corrective actions
Requirements: High school diploma and technical or construction-related associate degree
Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline preferred
Five or more years’ heavy construction experience
Background in large shafts and tunnel excavation
Ability to work in office 100% and tunneling experience
