Support K-7 learners through targeted intervention, assessment-informed planning, and inclusive instruction with School District 71. This temporary role is 0.60 FTE.
The Elementary Learning Support Teacher works collaboratively within the School-Based Team. You will support students, families, classroom teachers, school teams, and district personnel. The role addresses diverse learning needs through literacy, numeracy, regulation, and learning supports.
Key Responsibilities: Provide direct instruction and targeted intervention for learning challenges
Deliver evidence-based literacy and numeracy interventions
Conduct assessments and use data for instructional planning
Support IEP, SSP, and PBSP development and monitoring




Collaborate with classroom teachers and educational assistants
Requirements: Valid BC Teaching Certificate
Elementary teaching experience and BC curriculum understanding
Training or experience supporting diverse learning needs
Assessment qualifications, including Level B where appropriate
Literacy and numeracy intervention experience or training
Bring team-oriented consultation, inclusive practice, and evidence-based intervention skills to K-7 learning support in School District 71.
