You will provide supervision, manage caution around safety, and use strategies for dysregulation and challenging behaviours. The work includes planned activities, public transport, and independence.
Key Responsibilities: Support Josie when accessing the local community
Accompany chosen activities, parks, beaches, and outdoor venues
Promote independence through cookery and money management
Navigate public transport systems during activities
Monitor social media and redirect excessive screen time
Requirements: Female applicant under the stated occupational requirement
Essential SEND experience supporting complex needs
Essential background knowledge of PDA
Demonstrable deescalation strategies for challenging behaviours
Permission to work in the U.K. at employment start
Use SEND practice, PDA understanding, and planned community support to promote Josie’s independence in Jesmond.
