Support winter parks maintenance for the City of Saint John using construction experience and adaptable workplace technology skills. This temporary full-time position serves outdoor and indoor facilities.
Casual employees support the Development & Community Service team during the winter months. The work covers Parks and Recreation facilities, trees, parks, and landscapes. Successful candidates bring related post-secondary education, maintenance or construction experience, and a valid driver’s license.
Key Responsibilities: Maintain outdoor Parks and Recreation facilities during winter months
Maintain indoor Parks and Recreation facilities during winter months
Support winter maintenance of trees, parks, and landscapes
Work under challenging environmental and other working conditions
Requirements: Related post-secondary education is ideally preferred
Experience in maintenance and construction work
Aptitude to learn recent workplace technologies
Ability to adapt to new workplace technologies
Valid driver’s license required
