Operate BC Transit buses in Victoria while servicing vehicles, maintaining fluid levels, and completing outdoor physical work. This is a full time temporary assignment.
Reporting to the Daily Shift Manager, the Service Person supports bus readiness through fueling, washing, sanitizing, and cleaning. Duties include fare-box emptying, advertising assistance, data collection, yard surveys, and computer, tablet, or terminal data entry. The position requires yard and Greater Victoria vehicle transfers.
Key Responsibilities: Fuel buses and check proper fluid levels
Wash, sanitize, and clean bus interiors and exteriors
Empty fare-boxes and assist advertising promotions
Operate buses for yard and vehicle transfers
Complete surveys and data entry using technology
Requirements: Full high school completion or equivalent
Class 2 Learners and temporary #15 air brake endorsement
Obtain a valid Class 2 air brake license during probation
Pass required ICBC and pre-employment medical examinations
Work evenings, weekends, outdoors, and handle regular physical loads
Bring safe vehicle operation, practical servicing, and physical readiness to BC Transit’s Service Person assignment in Victoria.
