Discovery Silver seeks a Conventional Miner 2 for Porcupine’s underground operations. The position covers jumbo ramp and lateral development, excluding jumbo drilling, alongside rehabilitation and mechanized bolter operation. Candidates must read prints, establish protected workplaces, and work independently or with a partner.
Key Responsibilities: Perform mechanized cut and fill stoping activities
Complete jumbo ramp and lateral development
Install ground support in headings and rehabilitation areas
Operate mechanized bolters across large and small sections
Set up workplaces safely and productively
Requirements: High School Diploma
Underground Common Core Certificate and required specialty modules
Seven years mining experience, including four years development mining
Training and licensing on almost all mine equipment
Ability to read, understand, and follow prints
Bring underground development, stoping, ground support, and bolter operation experience to Discovery Silver’s Hoyle mine operations.
