Pear Tree

British Columbia

Help a growing school run well. From community engagement to operations to early childhood leadership — these are the roles that make everything else possible.

Pear Tree has a small, tight team. Admin roles here aren’t buried in a department — you’re visible, involved, and your work has a direct impact on the school’s families and growth. That means more ownership and more variety than you’d get at a larger institution.

You’re part of something growing
Pear Tree Education launched in 2012. The school opened in 2016. We serve Kindergarten to Grade 7 at our Kitsilano campus, and Pear Tree High School (Grades 8–12) is coming soon. Recent programs are launching. The team is getting bigger. If you want a role that evolves as the school evolves, this is that moment.

Context

Where the school is right now
A school in its growth phase
Pear Tree currently runs Kindergarten to Grade 7 at our Kitsilano campus, with a growing enrollment. We’re launching new programs, including ECE, with Pear Tree High School coming soon,

and building the operational infrastructure to support that growth well.

That means admin and leadership roles here aren’t about maintaining the status quo. They’re about building systems, processes, and relationships that scale — while keeping the human, personal quality that makes Pear Tree work.

If you thrive in environments where things are being built — not just maintained — you’ll find this energizing.

Not a training module. A way of working.
Most workplace training teaches the tasks of one job. PTOS training teaches how a well‑run organization works, how your work strengthens or weakens it, and how to make sound judgments in your role. PTOS is the operating system we built to run Pear Tree: how we set priorities, make decisions, communicate, manage resources and build systems.

It’s built for your role. There’s a route for people who lead and a separate route for people who don’t. It isn’t a leadership course with the senior parts taken out. If you lead, you’ll learn to lead, develop your team and, over time, build systems that make other people more capable. If you don’t, you’ll learn to own your work end to end, use sound judgment within your role and improve how things are done. Everyone shares the same foundation,

and your training is tailored to the job you’re hired for.

It’s a progression, not an orientation. You start when you join and use it every week, and you advance by what you can do, not by your title or how long you’ve been here.

How a well‑run organization works, and how to make sound judgments in your role.

If you lead: lead, develop your team and, over time, build systems that make other people more capable.

If you don’t: own your work end to end, use sound judgment within your role and improve how things are done.

You advance by what you can do, not by your title or how long you’ve been here.

Systems we build ourselves
You’ll work inside systems we build and improve every term, and what slows you down feeds directly into what we build next. If you like making things work better, you’ll have plenty to work with.

We’re growing and new roles emerge as the school expands. If you have experience in school operations, admissions, finance, or program leadership and Pear Tree feels like a fit

We built our team around six core values. These aren’t posters on a wall. They’re how we hire, how we give feedback, and how we handle hard days.

Hiring for 2027–28, and year-round, across all three tracks.
