Help GFL keep safety at the forefront through hands-on field collaboration and compliance support. Travel will comprise approximately 75% of this position.
This Field Safety Advisor works with front-line supervisors, employees, and operational teams on environmental health and safety matters. You will support customer requirements, legislation, EHS programs, and communication across operations. The role also contributes to reports, project updates, client meetings, and company pursuits involving health and safety.
Key Responsibilities: Ensure compliance with occupational health and safety legislation
Maintain customer programs including ISN Networld, Avetta, and Contractor Check
Support subcontractor management and Return to Work programs
Streamline communication between EHS and Operations




Attend client and project meetings when required
Requirements: Three to five-plus years of onsite Environmental Health and Safety experience
Construction, transportation, or waste management background preferred
Related H&S; degree, diploma, or qualified certification preferred
Ability to manage regular change and competing activities
Valid driver’s license, vehicle, and willingness to travel 75%
Bring practical safety guidance, compliance knowledge, and operational communication skills to GFL’s field-based EHS work.
