Support older adults with cognitive and physical changes as a Personal Support Worker at Baycrest Hospital’s Apotex 6 unit. This temporary part-time position includes day shifts and alternate weekends.
Apotex 6 is a Cognitive Support Unit within Baycrest Hospital and the Apotex Jewish Home for the Aged. You will provide personal care, support well-being, and monitor care needs. The work serves residents with cognitive impairment, dementia-related needs, and varying mobility.
Key Responsibilities: Support hygiene, grooming, dressing, and toileting needs
Record residents’ nutrition and hydration intake
Provide preventative skin care as required
Support social, emotional, cognitive, and cultural well-being
Maintain relationships with clients, families, and care providers




Requirements: Current Personal Support Worker certificate from a recognized institution
Recent experience supporting physically or cognitively impaired elderly people
Qualified judgment for monitoring and evaluating care needs
Ability to manage challenging situations independently and collaboratively
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills
